Development Groups
Gaelic cultural and community life is flourishing in Edinburgh like never before, and much of this continuing growth is down to many who have worked hard to uncover the hidden treasure of Scotland’s most amazing language and culture.

| Annual Community/Partnership Forum All welcome (st) |
Held on a Saturday each November, this is a major event with invited speakers where members of the community can catch up with developments, and have a say. With entertainment and refreshments. It will take place on Saturday 15th November from 1 pm. Followed by special 5-year anniversary ceilidh for Bothan and Glasgow and Aberdeen's Gaelic night clubs. | This year at the Scottish Storytellling Centre, Netherbow, the Royal Mile. |
Comunn na Gàidhlig |
Comunn nam Gàidhlig supports Gaelic development initiatives in Edinburgh through their Glasgow office. The Edinburgh Gaelic community has now requested a full-time development officer be based in Edinburgh to allow badly needed development to move ahead. | CnaG.org.uk |

Meets roughly monthly to plan an innovative comtemporary Gaelic arts programme for Edinburgh, Generally on the Tuesday night following Bothan events. | Meetings usually held at the Gaelic Community Office. |
| Comann nam Pàrant Support group for parents of children in Gaelic-medium education All parents welcome (u)  |
Meets around once each half term to strategically plan for the future of Gaelic-medium education, and to organise social and other events. | Meetings held at Tollcross or the Gaelic Community Office. |
